Georgia’s Communications Commission has launched an investigation into MagtiCom for potential abuse of its dominant market position after recent internet price increases.
Commission declared that MagtiCom raised the cost of mobile internet packages starting June 1, and from August 1, the company also increased prices for fixed internet services.
The regulator said these actions may point to unfair tariff setting and possible misuse of market dominance. The investigation aims to determine whether MagtiCom’s pricing practices violate competition rules.
