The business development project of “Chirina” company, which produces chicken meat products on the Georgian market under the name “Biu Biu,” has been completed. “Chirina” will launch a sausage factory in Sartichala in June or July 2023. Until now, the enterprise has been working in test mode. Its installed capacity will be the production of 25,000 tons of chicken sausages per day.
“The project that we started in 2012 in terms of construction and infrastructure has been completed. As a result we have efficient broiler chicken production. Our production parameters are 25,000 tons of chicken meat, in a vertically integrated complex. We produce approximately 20 million broiler eggs, and we can produce 18 million chicks annually. Roughly speaking, we produce 6 chickens per inhabitant per year. Today, 48 farms are divided into 3 clusters,” said Revaz Vashakidze, the founder of the company, speaking to “Business Morning”.
The businessman also noted that they produce about a third of the current demand in the country and it is necessary to operate three such farms to meet the current demand.
“For Georgia to be fully satisfied with chicken production, it is necessary to create three complexes like “Chirina”. That is, one of ours and two others. The demand in the country is partly satisfied by local production, but a large part is imported.”
A total of 265 million GEL has been invested in the development of production and poultry farming since 2012.
