Businessman and politician Levan Gachechiladze has died at the age of 61.
The information was reported by the Public Broadcaster, citing Gachechiladze’s family members.
Gachechiladze served as a member of parliament for three convocations and was the joint opposition candidate in the 2008 presidential elections.
He had been absent from active politics for several years, with his last public appearance being at the session of the parliamentary investigative commission of Tea Tsulukiani.
