Summer will soon give way to autumn. Yet, this is nothing to be concerned about since Tbilisi will stay colorful and fragrant a little longer. During the weekend of October 28-29, the national botanical garden of Tbilisi will host an exhibition and sale of flowers.
The exposition intends to present the diversity of the botanical garden’s chrysanthemum collection. Since 1955, chrysanthemum culture has been studied in the botanical garden by Vera Baghaturia, a senior scientist. Currently, the collection reaches around 170 varieties which you will be able to discover during this event. It is also the perfect opportunity to learn more about autumn flowers.
The event will include expositions and sales by the contemporary artists Nino Chakvetadze, Buba Arabuli and Khatuna Maisuradze. Eco-educational activities, clay sculpture and wreaths masterclass will also be offered.
To start welcoming autumn, pleasant music will surround you, you will also be able to enjoy mulled wine and roasted chestnuts
So, this weekend from 12 to 6 PM, get ready for a colorful event in Tbilisi’s national botanical garden.
