Top-earning sectors
As of Q1 2025, the highest average earnings by economic activity were observed in:
- Financial and insurance activities – GEL 5,515.1 (up by 22.0% year-on-year);
- Information and communication – GEL 4,163.0 (up by 5.2%);
- Professional, scientific and technical activities – GEL 2,975.7 (up by 11.3%);
- Construction – GEL 2,908.9 (up by 10.8%).
Business sector breakdown
Employees in the business sector earned an average of GEL 2,169.6 per month, an increase of GEL 184.2 or 9.3% compared to Q1 2024. The the leading fields within this sector were:
- Information and communication – GEL 4,255.4 (up by 4.6%);
- Professional, scientific and technical activities – GEL 3,402.5 (up by 12.1%).
Non-business sectors
In the non-business sector, average monthly earnings were GEL 2,170, up GEL 300.9 or 16.1% year-on-year.
