Georgian cafe-bakery “Alubali” was opened in the United States of America, namely in the central district of New York in Brooklyn. American residents and Georgians living in America who miss Georgian cuisine can already taste up to 50 names of cold and hot Georgian dishes and desserts in the mentioned cafe-bakery .
The founders of the cafe-bakery are Georgian sisters Marita and Anna Mazanishvili living in America.
– “My sister and I live in New York with our families, spouses, and my niece. We have always had a dream and goal to introduce our country’s cuisine to the diverse population of New York. When we decided to implement our idea, after financial and legal research, we chose the location, because opening a restaurant in New York is associated with long bureaucratic processes. We consulted with a representative of the New York Department of Small Business, other business owners in the food industry, and bank representatives, and after several months of daily work, we came close to the goal,” says one of the founders while talking to BMG.
The first guests were symbolically welcomed to the cafe bakery on May 26, Georgia’s Independence Day. At the moment, the cafe can receive 15 guests at the same time in the indoor and outdoor spaces. It is also possible to take food with you.
– “Alublali” guests can get ready-made, to-go food because everyone is always in a hurry due to the New York mode. We are registered on such platforms as UberEats, Doordash, and Grubhub, also offer our delivery service to our single customers. In the future, we also plan to add catering services, because many Georgian businesses are interested in cooperation with us in this regard.”
The address of “Alublali” is 3078 Coney Island Ave, Brooklyn, NY, 11235. The cafe is open every day from 09:00 AM to 8:00 PM.
