Activist and former member of the Free Georgia party, Gogi Tsulaia, has been arrested on charges of violence.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs confirms that Tsulaia was detained under Article 126 of the Criminal Code, which stipulates violence. However, the agency did not specify the exact reason behind the detention.
Gogi Tsulaia has been in politics since 2004, he was a member of parliament of the sixth convocation and recently was the majoritarian candidate of Kakha Kukava’s party, Free Georgia.
Tsulaia is known for his radical attitude towards the incumbent government.
