Natia Turnava, the Acting President of the National Bank, graciously welcomed the US Ambassador, Kelly Degnan, and the Head of the USAID Mission, John Pennell, to the National Bank’s headquarters. The meeting revolved around crucial discussions on the country’s economic trends and macroeconomic policies. Additionally, considerable attention was given to reviewing and assessing the ongoing projects under the collaborative efforts with USAID.
“Today, when the whole world is having a difficult time, the United States continues to provide assistance and important consultations to Georgia. Your efforts in promoting the economic development of Georgia are appreciated. There is a constant exchange of information between the National Bank and the US Embassy about the SEB reforms and the steps that The National Bank is standing in the conditions of the current global challenges. Moreover, it should be noted that the successive steps of the National Bank of Georgia are in full compliance with the sanctions. I would also like to emphasize the importance of close cooperation between the National Bank and USAID and express my deepest gratitude to Mrs. Elch and the head of the USAID mission. “For the greatest promotion of economic development in Georgia. The encouragement of foreign investments, the promotion of trade agreements and technical assistance have made a significant contribution to the growth of our economy and the well-being of our people.
