Data released by KazTransOil Batumi revealed that Batumi Sea Port has recorded significant growth in cargo turnover, exceeding 6 million tons as of November 1, 2025.
The increase in transshipment volumes was primarily driven by container traffic, ferry operations and certain types of dry cargo. In addition, the port reported a rise in handling oil and light oil products of Kazakh origin, which contributed to the overall positive trend.
“Batumi continues to solidify its position as a vital hub in the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route, facilitating reliable supply chains and fostering economic collaboration between Kazakhstan, Georgia, and the broader Black Sea region,” said the General Director of Batumi Oil Terminal.
