The Minister of Culture, Sports, and Youth Affairs of Georgia Tea Tsulukiani visited Youth Center “Art Hall” and got familiar with the inclusive art education project operating in the center.
In Art Hall children learn the peculiarities of acting and directing, prepare scenery for performances, and, most importantly, are involved in the learning process together. After visiting the educational-creative and technical workshops, Tsulukiani learned the information on the issues that pose real obstacles to the children involved in the project, with different needs, to achieve more success.
In particular, the main obstacle happens to be the fact that that it has been years, the so-called youth center, works in one of the buildings of the old film studio, which is owned by the state. The building needs renovation. Also, the fee paid by the students of the center is fully used to pay the rent set by the board of the Georgian Film Development Fund, which significantly reduces the development opportunities of the center.
“Art Hall is one of the most important for our ministry, as it is a creative inclusive learning process where all children, no matter what their needs, are involved in the acting learning process. It also has the opportunity to create the decors for its own play on the spot. The Ministry will always actively support such projects,” said Tea Tsulukiani.
