Georgia has joined the EU network ‘Eurodesk,’ Tbilisi City Hall announced today. At the General Assembly, which was held on April 22 this year, the 32 participating countries unanimously supported Georgia’s membership in the network, which is represented by Tbilisi City Hall.
Eurodesk is an EU information, education, and youth network that brings together opportunities and resources on youth education mobility, employment, internships, exchange programs, volunteering, training, grants, and scholarships across Europe. Joining the network means easier access for Georgian youth and students to European opportunities in education, employment, and youth.
Eurodesk operates through national offices and 1,600 animators from 35 countries. Georgia will be the 36th country to be represented by Eurodesk as a national office, coordinated by Tbilisi City Hall ‘Culture, Education, Sports, and Youth Affairs Office,’ the Tbilisi City Hall Youth Centers Association, Erasmus + Youth, and the European Solidarity Corps Information Center.
Gogi Chikovani, Head of the Education and Youth Affairs Department of the Tbilisi City Hall Culture, Education, Sports, and Youth Affairs Office, has been elected Eurodesk National Coordinator in Georgia.
