Turkish company ENKA has won an international case concerning the termination of the Namakhvani hydropower plant project, requiring Georgia to pay $383.2 million in compensation.
On September 20, 2021, ENKA Renewables announced the contract termination for the Namakhvani Cascade HPP project, which has now been completed with confirmation that the contract was rightfully ended.
Consequently, Georgia must compensate ENKA, with the company stating that once the compensation is settled, they will announce further details to investors.
