The Georgian Wine Agency reported that eight Georgian wines, produced in traditional Qvevri clay vessels, were featured at the Artisan Wine Fair in New York. The event provided a platform for Georgian winemakers to showcase their products and offered visitors a great opportunity to learn about Georgia’s extensive history, ancient winemaking methods, and culture.
The fair, aiming to widen export opportunities and establish new partnerships, is important for expanding the Georgian wine market in the US, one of the key markets. The Agency reported that Georgian wine exports in the US reached over one million liters, a 58% increase, between January and October 2024.
