‘Such a meeting was unexpected for Vladimir Pozner, he had a bad reaction,’ said Beno Kashakashvili, owner of the Vinotel Hotel. The Russian journalist arrived in Georgia on March 31 to celebrate his birthday, which was followed by protests from citizens and the opposition. As a result, Pozner left Georgia at dawn on April 1.
“Sorry, I had a very hard night. The guests are gone, they will not come again. It was all unexpected and sad for me. They used to come here every year,” Kashakashvili said.
“Regarding opening the restaurant during the curfew, they arrived late and I couldn’t change the plan, we were even fined for it – a fine of 10 thousand GEL. Due to a pandemic, last year they did not come. They did come here the year before that, though. Such a meeting was unexpected for Vladimir Pozner, he had a bad reaction,” Kashakashvili said.
