In January 2024, the volume of assets of commercial banks operating in Georgia decreased by 1.5 billion GEL.
According to the National Bank of Georgia, the main reason for the decrease was the reduction of bank credits by 900 million GEL, which amounted to 51.9 billion GEL at the end of January.
In the last 12 months, compared to the previous month, the decrease of bank assets was recorded 4 times.
