In 2023, electricity production increased by 1.1% annually, a “TBS Capital” report claims.
In particular, in 11 months of 2023, 103 million dollars worth electricity was exported from Georgia abroad. This is the largest volume of export since 2010, and, in terms of income, it is the largest indicator of all years.
According to the same data, electricity consumption decreased by 7.8% annually. Reduced demand for electricity by direct consumers is the main reason for the decline.
