With TBC’s Support, GAIA Launches a Professional AI Meetup Series
With the support of TBC, the Georgian Artificial Intelligence Association (GAIA), in partnership with D Block, has launched a series of professional gatherings — GAIA Meetup.
The purpose of these regular meetings is to foster knowledge sharing, strengthen professional networks, and discuss trending topics in the AI industry.
At GAIA’s monthly meetups, tech professionals come together to explore emerging technologies, exchange insights on the latest industry developments, and present their own projects.
In addition, dedicated sessions will be held for GAIA’s associate members, where professionals from various fields will discuss how AI is transforming their industries, how to better integrate artificial intelligence into their work, and what’s new in the world of AI.
“GAIA’s goal is to strengthen the professional AI and data science community in Georgia. The best way to achieve that is through continuous sharing of knowledge and experience. This is exactly the mission of GAIA Meetups, which will be held monthly,”
— said Gigi Giorgadze, Director of the Georgian Artificial Intelligence Association.
TBC is the main supporter of the GAIA Meetup series.
“Through our partnership with GAIA, we continue to support initiatives that promote accessibility to education, knowledge exchange, and the growth of the professional ecosystem in AI and data science.
In the world of artificial intelligence, it’s essential to believe, explore, learn, and create. We believe that this series of Meetups will help educate the new generation and contribute to the development of Georgia’s tech ecosystem,”
— said Makuna Tavberidze, TBC’s Head of Marketing and Brand Experience.
The first Meetup took place on October 16, featuring TBC experts Tea Kipshidze and Archil Ktsovreli, who shared their experience and best practices in the development and implementation of AutoML.
The meetings will be held monthly and in person. Check the GAIA Meetup calendar, register, and join the discussions on topics that interest you.

- With TBC’s Support, “Askaneli” Opens a State-of-the-Art Brandy Winery in Bakurtsikhe
With the support of TBC, the company Askaneli has opened a new brandy winery in the village of Bakurtsikhe, Gurjaani municipality. The factory will process 22,000 tons of grapes annually and produce 6 million bottles of brandy-based beverages.
The project, valued at €20 million, was implemented with TBC as the main financial partner. The bank provided ₾14 million in funding for the new plant.
The facility will employ around 100 people, and its products will be sold both on the local market and in more than 10 countries worldwide.
TBC and Askaneli share a 22-year partnership history. Over the past three years alone, they have jointly implemented projects worth ₾70 million, covering vineyard and harvest financing, purchase of production tanks and equipment, and construction of a hotel.
“Our partnership with Askaneli continues with yet another successful project. The opening of the new plant in Bakurtsikhe supports both regional development and the enhancement of Georgian product quality. Wine and spirits are key export products for Georgia, and thus remain priority sectors for the bank.
This year, TBC’s corporate division financed the grape harvest with ₾60 million, while over the past three years our wine sector portfolio has grown by 40%, exceeding ₾285 million in total financing,”
said Giorgi Darchiashvili, Director of Large and Medium Corporate Client Services at TBC.
“This is not just the opening of a factory — this project lays the foundation for the future of Georgian brandy and wine. First and foremost, it directly supports our farmers.
The new complex in Bakurtsikhe, with its capacity of 22,000 tons, creates a stable agro-economic hub that drives regional growth.
Secondly, it sets a new standard of quality and innovation — our goal is to elevate Georgian brandy materials to the highest international level.
And thirdly, we are creating a national landmark, as the complex was designed by Anouk Legendre, the renowned architect of Bordeaux’s “City of Wine.”
In the next stage, a museum will also be built here to bring Georgia’s 8,000-year winemaking history to life through interactive 3D spaces,”
said Gocha Chkhaidze, founder of Askaneli.
