Beka Peradze, the head of the Labor Inspection Service, said that the regulations and control over social events will be tightened. When renting out space, a landlord will be obligated to not enter into a contract by which the rented space will be used for social events. Otherwise, the landlord will be fined GEL 10,000.
“In many cases, space is rented with the intention of organizing a social event or various nightclubs. Discussions are underway, we are holding final consultations with agencies, and in the near future, we plan to ban or restrict the renting of space for social events. The owner is released from responsibility if he/she has exhausted all preventive measures, a fact guaranteed in the contract that a social event should not be held,” Peradze said.
