- TBC’s Tech Meetings: Spotlight on Net Development
For the second consecutive year, TBC has utilized its tech platform to foster a strong internal community by hosting technology conferences for its employees multiple times a year. These meetings cater to various roles, including testers, developers, DevOps professionals, iOS and Android developers, Agile teams, and more.
During these sessions, TBC Tech employees discuss current trends, news, best practices, and challenges within their specific fields. They share experiences and collaborate to overcome difficulties. The speakers at these events are TBC employees themselves, offering a unique perspective and fostering a sense of community.
Last week, a meeting focused on developers took place. Five TBC speakers presented, and one of them was voted the best and earned the opportunity to attend an international conference. Backend developer Shako Turashvili received the highest approval from his colleagues for his presentation on .Net Aspire, a new technology in the .Net framework.
Reflecting on his participation, Turashvili shared, “I attended the previous meeting, which featured very interesting speakers and topics. I learned a lot of new things that sparked new interests for me. This year, I wanted to share new developments with my friends and colleagues. I chose a topic that I am very passionate about, which is relatively unknown, and I wanted to introduce it to others.”
Professional development is a priority for TBC as a technology company. To support this, TBC holds weekly online knowledge-sharing sessions among employees, highlighting the company’s commitment to an employee-centric approach.
- Uzbekistan Outsourcing Conference Highlights Strategic Advantages for Georgian Businesses, Supported by TBC
The Uzbekistan Outsourcing Conference took place in Tbilisi, backed by TBC, offering a dynamic platform for businesses to explore partnerships and gain insights into Uzbekistan’s strategic market advantages. Uzbekistan stands ready to provide significant resources and a skilled workforce to Georgian businesses aiming to diversify and enhance their outsourcing operations.
Participants at the conference discovered Uzbekistan’s favorable tax environment, which includes 0% rates on corporate, social, property, and land taxes. They also learned about the availability of a large pool of 20 million working-age individuals, many of whom are fluent in English. Additionally, information was provided on the multiple entry visas available for up to three years for investors, business founders, and IT professionals. Attendees were informed about the streamlined process for establishing a business in Uzbekistan, which takes just 3-6 weeks, and the benefits of free office space for a year, salary compensation, professional development opportunities, and access to the Central Asian market through Uzbekistan IT Park.
Uzbekistan and Georgia share a strategic location, bridging Eastern Europe and Central Asia, which contributes to diverse and robust entrepreneurial opportunities. However, the pace of business sector development varies significantly between the two countries. Despite its potential, Georgia faces challenges such as market limitations, intense competition, and bureaucratic hurdles.
Uzbekistan’s market advantages include a significant working-age population, constituting 60% of the total population, and a robust education system that annually produces 125,000 qualified IT professionals. With less bureaucracy compared to Georgia, Uzbekistan has become an attractive destination for businesses looking to enhance their outsourcing capabilities.
- TBC Concept Hosts Koka Ramishvili’s Exhibition “Platform for an Event”
TBC Concept and the Ria Keburia Foundation are proud to present Koka Ramishvili’s exhibition “Platform for an Event.” This captivating showcase will be held at the TBC Concept multifunctional space from June 7 to July 13.
Koka Ramishvili is a prominent figure in contemporary Georgian art. His work emerged during the tumultuous post-Soviet era and has always been marked by deep reflexivity, meticulous form selection, and the use of appropriate mediums to address complex contexts. Known for his intellectual curiosity, Ramishvili consistently explores original connections between concrete issues and abstract ideas. Residing and working in Tbilisi and Geneva, his artworks are featured in private and museum collections worldwide. Notably, one of his video-audio installations, part of the Georgian Pavilion at the 53rd Venice Biennale, is titled “Black Sea.”
For “Platform for an Event,” Ramishvili collaborated with composer Nika Machaidze, who provided the soundscape for this new work. This multimedia installation seamlessly integrates interior and exterior elements, geometric forms (circular and square spaces), and the infinite landscape. It evokes the summer’s climatic motif and the sounds of everyday life. The artwork gradually emerges from an empty surface, revealing multiple dimensions and sensations, nostalgia, and allusions. The structure of the piece is comprehended through the interplay of space, light, color, sound, and time, conveying a narrative imbued with light melancholy.
Ramishvili’s work addresses a wide array of topics but fundamentally encapsulates the concept of an internal landscape, combining meditative and practical visualization with concrete and documentary elements.
The exhibition opening is on June 7, from 18:00 to 20:00 at TBC Concept, located at Marjanishvili 7.
