Georgia’s Ministry of Internal Affairs has deported 30 foreign nationals found to be residing in the country illegally.
The individuals were citizens of India, Turkey, Iran, Turkmenistan, Egypt, Bangladesh, Russia, Belarus, Iraq, Jordan and Lithuania. In addition to expulsion, they have been banned from reentering Georgia under current legislation.
The agency noted that the Migration Department is tasked with identifying illegal residents and enforcing deportations.
