Rusudan Kervalishvili, one of the founders of the construction company “Center Point”, left prison today, on March 30.
Kervalishvili has been serving her sentence for 4 years. Kervalishvili, along with her sister, another founder of Center Point, Maia Rcheulishvili, was found guilty of fraud and misappropriation of funds.
“I left my heart in the penitentiary institution. You know that my sister Maia Rcheulishvili is still in custody. The price of freedom is nothing. Here, I felt freedom through birds. There are many birds. I have a very big feeling. I have one big regret – the people who loved us so much have suffered with us for years. Although Maia has to be here for five years and is in her fourth year, the problem has not been resolved. Now we are hoping that construction will start in a month. Our task is one, for all people to be happy and be able to enter their apartments,” Kervalishvili said.
The investigation accused Kervalishvili of misappropriating more than 11 million GEL belonging to the Tabukashvili 88 community.
She noted that everything has been handed over to investors and they will also receive money from the company, and, with the help of City Hall, eight different companies will complete unfinished construction works.
