Print version Print version

Author: Liene Veide

Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili opened a training base for Rapid Reaction Special Task Unit in Rustavi on Dec.15.

Saakashvili observed the base’s facilities.

The new modern base was built in three months and the total amount spent for infrastructural improvements and provision with modern equipment was 900,000 lari.

About 300 special squad officers will receive special practical and theoretical trainings.

The Ministry of Corrections and Legal Assistance refused to give any comments to Georgia Today about the new training base.

The Special Force of the Ministry is considered as one of the best in Georgia and it has actively participated in the war last year.
