Female serial killer detained

Officer of the Tbilisi Central Police Department and General Prosecutor’s Office Venera Obolashvili has been detained. The woman killed single men and women in her proximity in order to steal and sell their apartments.
Obolashvili is charged with three murders.
The Interior Ministry refused to comment to Georgia Today about the case.
In the course of the investigation, police discovered that Obolashvili's husband, Yuri Yurkin, had died under mysterious circumstances some 10 years ago. She confessed to the crime and said she had sold his apartment for $4,000.
The suspect is also charged with killing her unofficial spouse Anatoli Kalinka in 2008. She sold his apartment for $50,000.
A year later Maria Armazaseva was also murdered by Obolashvili and her apartment was sold for $20,000.
The suspect has admitted to the committed crime. The investigation is underway.
