International Youth Film Festival 'Taoba'

The International Youth Film Festival entitled ‘Taoba’ (Generation) will be held between March 29 and April 2, 2018. Jointly organized by the Culture and Education Foundation and the Georgian National Youth Palace. 

On March 12, at 2pm, the Ministry of Culture and Sports will hold a press conference, and will be attended by Film Director Nana Dolidze, National Youth Palace Director Tina Rukhadze, General Director of the festival Levan Dvali, and Festival of Arts Head Neno Kavtaradze. 

The project is to be held in connection with the 100th anniversary of the first independent republics of Georgia, Armenia and Azerbaijan. From 2019, the festival will hold the title as one of the largest international film festivals in the South Caucasus. 

The vision of the festival is to enable the development of youth through analytical thinking and portaying this through film. The festival aims to facilitate the talents of young people by means of master classes and lectures, as well as their participation in foreign film festivals.

You can take part in the festival so long as you’re aged between 13-18, and are a Georgian citizen. You can register and apply online at The closing date for applicants is March 14, 2018

Applications will be judged by a special commission, and will select 300 young people to participate in the festival.

Taoba will be held in the Georgian National Youth Palace from 29 March to 2 April 2018 (Tbilisi, Rustaveli 6)
