The ski season has officially opened in Svaneti, after Tetnuldi resort’s opening this weekend with three brand-new ski lifts. The Tetnuldi ski slope is regarded as one of the best areas for winter sports competitions.
The season opening started with the first round of the Georgian Ski Cup, with winners of the round awarded on site. Tetnuldi now has four ski lifts leading to eight pistes, 30 kilometers in all. At its highest point, the resort reaches 3200 meters above sea level.
The season kicked off with a freestyle show and concert in old Mestia.
