US Trains over 200 Professionals to Help Georgia in Fight against COVID-19

The United States Center for Disease Control and Prevention has trained over 200 professionals in Georgia to help the country in the fight against the new coronavirus, posts on social media claim.  

"Years of cooperation between the US CDC and its Georgian counterparts is helping Georgia in its efforts to respond to the threat of COVID-19.

"The latest trainings included over 200 professionals across Georgia and focused on proper identification and surveillance of COVID-19 cases, as well as infection prevention and control practices.

"We are proud to support the Georgian NCDC and the Ministry of Health, and we look forward to continuing to work together to protect the health and safety of the Georgian people," reads the Facebook page of the US Embassy Tbilisi, Georgia.

The number of cases of coronavirus infection has increased to 81 in Georgia.

4505 people are in quarantine and 257 are under examination in hospitals.

13 out of 81 people have already recovered.
