112 Service Beings Work in "Emergency Mode"

The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia has announced that the 112 Service has commenced operating in an emergency mode, and instead of 40 people, 70 members of staff are working at the call center in shifts.

The emergency mode of service has been catalyzed by the current situation countrywide resulting from the accelerated spread of viral infections.

The population of the country is asked to use the 112 Service only in case of urgency.

112 is the Emergency Response Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia that receives emergency calls from all over the country via a unified emergency number "112", working 24/7 and processes said calls, transferring them to the relevant emergency services.
