Stronger Youth Services in Local Self-Governments

The Youth Policy Management Department of the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia reports that, together with USAID and World Vision Georgia, they are implementing a project titled "Strengthening Youth Services in Local Self-Governments." The Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Georgia, Teimuraz Murgulia held an informational meeting with the project leaders to familiarize themselves with the details of the initiative.

The Ministry of Education, USAID, and World Vision have been jointly working toward the goal of strengthening Georgia’s youth in the regions, considering the needs and interests of young people, in creating a youth-oriented municipal policy document and action plan, which in turn insures the compatibility of the youth participation in the local life.

The project’s target municipalities are: Marneuli, Mestia, Zugdidi, Akhaltsikhe, Borjomi, Baghdati, and Rustavi.
