GREENNET receives Cisco gold partner status

GREENNET, a systems integrator and network solutions provider in Georgia became a gold partner of Cisco Systems, a global leader in IT and communications technology. According to Pavel Burba, General Manager of Cisco, GREENNET is the only company in Georgia to hold Gold Partner Certification. The certificate will enable GREENNETto further advance the quality of its offerings and expand its activity on the market.

“This certification is important not only for GREENNET but for Georgia, as it means that the country will become a leader in the region in terms of information and communication technologies,” said NikolozDavitashvili, systems architect of GREENNET while underscoring the importance of the Gold partner certification on October 27. “In the nearest future, GREENNET is going to expand its activity and enter Moldova, Belarus and the territory of Central Asia,”Davitashvili added.

Temperature-Controlled Facility launches operation in Poti

After year of planning, preparation and construction, a new state of the art temperature-controlled cold storage facility will officially open on October 28 in Poti, a major seaport city on Georgia’s Black Sea coast.

The project was partially accomplished by the founders of American Monolith Ltd, the Silk Road Group and the Southeastern Export Corporation. The majority of the funding was secured from the Overseas Private Investment Corporation (OPIC), a US governmental funding organization. The budget of the project is 11,300,000 lari.

Everest Kool Solutions, an emerging public refrigerated warehouse (“PRW”) business based in Toronto, is managing the temperature-controlled facility in Poti.

Georgia Today had the special opportunity to interview Patrick A. Gouveia, the President of Everest Kool Solutions a day before the opening of the facility and to ask him questions about the strategic location of the warehouse and the importance of the facility for the temperature -controlled food products delivered to Caucasia and Central Asia.

Bank Republic has offered simple conditions for the auto purchase process with the starting interest rate of 0 % and maturity up to 5 years. The new product was unveiled at the 7th International Auto and Accessories Exhibition at the Exhibits Center Expo Georgia on October 21.

IBG and UZDAEWOO new auto models unveiled at the luxurious show are affordable through this offering under the convenient terms throughout the year. In total, 170 companies including Tegeta Motors, VMPAUTO, LTD OTO Motors, LASA, Bridgestone, Wunder, BP and many others exhibited their products on 50 stands at the exhibition.

According to the Deputy Head of Retail Sales, Natia Frangulashvili, a perfect credit history and salary above 500 lari is a must to get the offer. She noted that the demand on luxury cars in Georgia selling between $20 000 to $28 000 is high.

“With these attractive auto installment terms, we plan many new schemes to be executed in the future. We also promise a lot of novelties to our customers every now and then,” Bank Republic Communications and PR Coordinator Tinatin Janashvili added.

Duty Free outlet for diplomatic corps available in Tbilisi

Duty Free Alliance, a company that provides duty free services, opened a duty free outlet called Diplomat targeting the diplomatic corps accredited in Georgia on October 27.

According to Duty Free Alliance management, the company’s main goal is to create a more comfortable environment for the diplomatic corps.

“We wanted Tbilisi to join the chain of those cities where Downtown Duty Free and City Duty Free are operating,” Jamal Hermassi said. According to him, the management wants to improve the conditions of purchasing products for personal consumption for diplomats and persons who are exempted from any liabilities under international agreements.

The shop which is located in downtown Tbilisi at 74b Chavchavadze Avenue is stretched over 150 square meters and offers clients several dozens of items of local and foreign origin.

This duty free outlet, Hermassi says, may also be used by those persons who are leaving the territory of Georgia and the purchased items will be supplied directly at the boundary check-point.
