Author: By Ia Natsvlishvili
ProCredit Bank Georgia announced on August 8 that the bank is further expanding its branch coverage by opening its first ever branches in Samtredia, in west Georgia and Akhaltsikhe, in south Georgia.
In addition, one of the existing three branches in Georgia’s second largest city of Kutaisi will be relocated to a new premise and the sixth branch will be added in Batumi, a Black sea coastal resort.
The bank, which is famous for its focus on small and medium-sized enterprises, explained the expansion strategy was due to “increased public demand” for the bank’s services and thus has spurred the bank on to provide its customers with maximum convenience by providing them with service in more locations across Georgia.
“This [expansion] will enable us to further contribute to the development of small and medium-sized businesses in the respective regions, with a special focus on agriculture,” Sascha Ternes, Director of ProCredit Bank said in a special statement.
The new branch in Samtredia opened on August 8 with initially 10 employees. This branch together with the new branches in Kutaisi, Batumi and Akhaltsikhe - to be opened later this year - are designed to fit the “one stop banking” concept.
